Romanian tourist magnet city introduces electric bikes in its citadel

A tourist-friendly city in Romania has introduced electric bikes and scooters in its old center, the most visited place in the city.

The Alba –Iulia municipality in Central Romania has introduced the electric bikes and motorbikes in its Alba Carolina citadel, the city’s main attraction.

Tourists can rent such a bike for RON 20 for half an hour. The bikes allow a 35-kilometer ride without charging the battery, while scooters have a 50-kilometer lifespan until the next recharge.

The vehicles are already highly popular among tourists, especially among foreigners, who can visit more of the 120-hectare citadel.
