Amid high temperatures, most of Romanians try to avoid the kitchen at home and prefer to order lunch at the office. As a result, the orders placed on Foodpanda.ro increased by 30% in June and July.

The largest orders were made in June this year and amounted to RON 1,700 (EUR 382), and RON 1,500 (EUR 337) respectively. Both of them were made for burgers, according to Radu Balaceanu, Country Manager Foodpanda Romania. The next largest order amounted to RON 1,100 (EUR 247) and was made for pizza, in July.

In April this year, Foodpanda.ro also received two orders of some RON 1,000 (EUR 225) each, for pizza and Lebanese food.

Foodpanda.ro currently works with over 450 restaurants in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Brasov, Constanta, Arad, Ploiesti, Oradea, Galati, Craiova, Sibiu, and Buzau.
