Romanians spend around EUR 10 a day on ordering food at the office and at home. The average order is higher in Bucharest – RON 50 or EUR 11, and slightly lower in Cluj, Timisoara and Iasi – RON 40 or EUR 8.8, according to foodpanda, the online food delivery platform.

Most orders in Bucharest on this platform come from the office, around lunch, and usually include a main course, with a side dish, salad and dessert. In other large cities, orders arrive in the evening. Bucharest continues to host the most active users on foodpada.

The platform, supported by business incubator Rocket Internet, collaborates with 200 restaurants in Bucharest, Cluj – Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.
