Romania’s 6-month economic outlook slightly improves in February, survey finds
The Romanian economic outlook for the next six months improved slightly in February, after a decline of nearly 11 points a month earlier, a ZEW/Erste survey showed Tuesday. Economic expectations for Romania rose 3.6 points to 33.4 points in February, from 29.8 points in the previous month, ZEW said in its latest monthly survey on the Central and Eastern Europe region.
Although the assessment of the current economic situation in Romania remains in the negative zone, the indicator showed a significant improvement, increasing to minus 37.8 points, from minus 50 points in January.
In Central and Eastern Europe, economic expectations on a six-month horizon increased by 8.3 points to 24.5 points in February.
