Romania’s exports up by 5% in first four months
Romania’s exports amounted to EUR 17.7 billion in the first four months of the year, when they increased by 5% year-on-year. The imports went up by 5.9% to EUR 19.7 billion, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
The trade deficit rose by EUR 255.5 million between January and April, up to EUR 2 billion, compared to the same period last year.
Cars and transport equipment had a 44.2% share in exports and a 36.7% share in imports, whereas other manufactured goods covered a third of exports and slightly less than a third of imports.
The exports totaled EUR 4.3 billion in April, whereas the imports reached EUR 5 billion in the same month.
