Romania's foreign investments up in January
Foreign direct investments to Romania reached EUR 240 million in January, up on the EUR 31 million in January last year, mainly fueled by loans within the group. Foreign investments fully covered the current account deficit in January – some EUR 15 million.
FDI totaled EUR 2.5 billion last year, a drop of 25.5 percent on 2009, when Romania recorded EUR 3.4 billion of foreign direct investments.
