Romania's former Government increased reserve fund 14.5 times in one year
The former Government has increased the reserve fund 14.5 times last year, making illegal budget allocations, according to a report of the Audit Court published on Friday.
Many Government decisions on budgetary allocations from the Reserve Fund did not meet the statutory requirements, according to the Audit Court, reports local Mediafax.
Many of the expenses didn’t meet the criteria for being considered urgent.
At the beginning of last year, the reserve fund was about EUR 36 million. However, by the end of 2014, the fund had received additional funds of up to EUR 523 million.
