Romania's Got Talent gains more popularity: Third season opening watched by over two times more viewers than first
Over 6.5 million viewers watched the first show from the third season of Romania's Got Talent, produced and broadcast by ProTV. The new season of the show, on screens every Friday evening, had an average rating of 27.9 points and a market share of 47.8 percent in its first show last Friday, across Romania. The opening of the season had more viewers than the closing of the previous, which was watched by 5 million Romanians. The first edition of the show back in February 2011 had only 2.7 million viewers at peak time.
Romanians also watched the show online, with ProTV's website registering 300,000 unique visitors and over 780,000 impressions. The new season of the show brought more fans to its Facebook page as well, with over 13,000 new fans on Romania's Got talent's Facebook page on Friday.
The previous edition of Romania's Got Talent was won by an illusionist, Cristian Gog, who calls himself a magic mentalist. Gog won EUR 130,000 and the title of Romania's most talented. Second and third places were occupied by Mihai Petraiche -with a robot dance and Cristian Leana, who solved three Rubik’s cubes blindfolded and with only one hand.
The show is based on an international format, developed by Simco Limited. The hosts of the show are Romanian singer and entertainer Smiley and actor Pavel Bartoş. The judges are the Romanian singer Andra, a Pro TV star and presenter Andi Moisescu and a well known Romanian dancer, Mihai Petre (all three in picture).
