Romania's Prognosis Commission: Economic growth goes up to 3.6% on exports
Romania’s National Prognosis Commission (CNP) has revised upwards its estimates for economic growth in 2015 to 3.6%, due to improvements in the services sector and exports.
In September, the CNP estimated an economic growth of 3.4% for this year.
The services sector will go up by 4.1% this year, according to the current prognosis, whereas the exports of goods and services will rise by 7.3% in 2015. Estimates on industry, construction and agriculture remained unchanged, at 3%, 5.8%, and 3%.
Household consumption will grow by 4.1% in 2015, according to new estimates, compared to a 4.5% advance forecasted in September.
The nominal GDP will reach EUR 158.4 billion this year, according to the National Prognosis Commission.
