Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, who is currently number 2 in the WTA ranking of best women's tennis players in the world, has five nominations in the polls made by Wtatennis.com.

Simona’s fans can vote her in the Social Fan Favorite Player, Post of the Year, WTA Match of the Year, Best Dressed On-Court, and Best Dressed Off-Court categories.

In the Post of the Year category, the Romanian player entered with a Facebook post from April 3, written after a match with Serena Williams: “In the past four weeks, I proved to myself that, if I want it strong enough, if I don’t give up on the match before I finish it, I can reach further and further. Yesterday’s match with Serena Williams was not a match played thinking about the score, it was a match I played trying to find that moment when I manage to play my best tennis. I left the tennis court happy that I fought for every point and aware that this match has made me richer once more – as is the situation with all the matches I played against Serena so far. I respect her a lot since I was a little girl – and so much more that, after all this time, she is still number 1 in the world. I want to thank all those who came to support me, all those who spent sleepless nights to watch me play back home and all those who encouraged me to get where I am now.”

In the WTA Match of the year category, Halep entered with the same match she has played against the American player.
