Romania’s Simona Halep postpones nose surgery, will defend her title in Dubai
After announcing that she will play in the Fed Cup match against the Czech Republic this weekend, Romania’s tennis ace Simona Halep has also decided to postpone her nose surgery and play in the WTA tournaments in Dubai and Doha this month.
The Romanian will thus defend the title won at last year’s Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
“I will not do the surgery now. I will postpone it, but I don’t know until when. I’m feeling good now, I’ve done all the tests. The doctors told me that I could wait and that there was no rush. I will play in Dubai and Doha, and maybe even further,” Halep said during a press conference in Cluj-Napoca, where she will play in Romania's Fed Cup match against the Czech Republic, reports local Digisport.ro.
Halep announced on January 24 that she would not play in Fed Cup, Dubai and Doha as she needed to have a nose intervention to fix a deviated septum.
