Ryanair adds new route from Bucharest to Athens next March
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will launch a new route from Bucharest to Athens in 2016.
The airline will operate daily flights between the Romanian and the Greek capitals starting late-March next year. The new service is part of the company’s plan to significantly expand the 2016 summer schedule for Bucharest, according to a company statement.
“To celebrate the launch of our new route from Bucharest to Athens, Ryanair puts up for sale tickets at a promotional price of EUR 29.99 for trips in April and May. The seats can be booked until midnight, December 10,” said Denis Barabas, the company’s Sales & Marketing Executive for Romania.
With a total of nine routes, including the new ones to Bologna, Milano Bergamo, Milano Malpensa, and Roma Ciampino, Ryanair is to carry 1.2 million passengers per year to/from Bucharest. It will also support 900 jobs related to the Bucharest Airport’s activities.
