Skanska Property Romania’s manager to also coordinate the group’s operations in Hungary

25 November 2015

Marcin Lapinski, the Polish manager of Skanska Property Romania, will also coordinate the group’s operations in Hungary, starting January 1, 2016, when he will become Managing Director of Skanska Property Romania and Hungary.

Romanian Aurelia Luca will be the new Country Director for Skanska Property Romania, and Zoltán Linczmayer will hold the similar position in Hungary.

With these moves, Skanska aims to consolidate its operation in the region and to increase its business in the two markets.

“This is a very important step to bring Romania and Hungary closer and will create a solid platform for synergies between the two countries and for know-how exchanges between the two sides. Both markets face challenges, but have a huge growth potential and show strong signs of recovery after the crisis,” said Marcin Lapinski, the new Managing Director of Skanska Property Romania and Hungary.

Skanska Property is Swedish construction group Skanska’s real estate development division. The company has recently delivered its second office building in Bucharest, which is part of the Green Court project. The two finalized buildings, which have been leased to large multinational clients the likes of Orange, Carrefour, and Sanofi, have already been sold to real estate investment firm Globalworth.

Skanska is currently working on the project’s third and last building and is already looking to start a new project in western Bucharest, near the Polytechnic University.
