Pharmaceutical company Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) Romania appointed Steve Warner (in picture) managing director of the subsidiary in Romania, replacing Agata Jakoncic, which has been promoted to the regional level. Before being named managing director of MSD Romania, Steve Warner was marketing and sales director of MSD South Korea.

Steve Warner also held regional marketing positions in Asia-Pacific, and in the global headquarters of Merck from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. He served 22 years in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy, where he rose to the rank of lieutenant commander.

At the end of last year, MSD company together with Schering Plough ranked in the top seven companies in the pharmaceutical industry, with sales of EUR 106.5 million.
