Swedish and Danish players win international bowling competition in Bucharest
This year’s edition of IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open (IBIBO) ended on October 11, with players from Sweden and Denmark on the podium.
With 255 points, Swede Martin Paulsson came first on the podium, winning a prize of EUR 3,500, while Denmark’s Thomas Larsen won the second place and a prize of EUR 2,500. Swedish Anna Anderson, 19, won the third place, being the first woman to ever reach IBIBO’s podium.
Romanians Lucian Paraschiv, Romeo Gagenoiu, and Victor Dumitrascu were among the top eight players at IBIBO.
IDM Bucharest International Bowling Open took place between October 4 and October 11 at IDM Club. The tournament had a record number of registered players (150), which came from 16 countries. Romania was represented by 70 players.
This year, IBIBO offered total prizes of more than EUR 25,000. It is the most important such tournament in Eastern Europe.
