Swiss Govt. approves EUR 130 mln financing for Romania
The Swiss Government has approved a EUR 130 million non-reimbursable loan for Romania, which will fuel investments in the environment, infrastructure and the promotion of the private sector in the next five years. Social development and human resources will also be covered within the agreement. The payments can be requested within the next five years but Romania could benefit from the funds for the next ten years, according to the Romanian Finance Ministry.
Switzerland has been offering non-reimbursable financial assistance to other countries in the EU after their joining the Union in 2004.
