Swiss Windex builds wind turbines factory in Constanta with EUR 25 mln

Swiss company Windex is planing to start works on a wind turbines production unit in Constanta county in Romania, according to Mediafax newswire. The factory will require EUR 20 to EUR 25 million in investment and should be ready in about a year from start of construction. Nicolae Simion, the company's director for Romania, said construction works are scheduled to start in two months.

Windex is trying to capitalize on the demand for wind turbines given the numerous wind farm projects which have been announced and some already started in the Dobrogea area of Romania. CEZ, Ibedrola, Energias de Portugal, Wind Power Park are all investing in wind mill projects in Romania.

The company's managers are Steffen Thordahl, who is the CEO, together with COO Peter Johansen and CSO Jørgen Chr. Juul.
