Tennis tournament BCR Open Romania will organize a new edition between September 18 and 26 at Arenele BNR in Bucharest. This is the 15th edition of the event.

BCR Open is an  250 ATP World Tour event and also the biggest tournament in the Romanian tennis series following Arad Challenger and Brasov Challenger. The trophy received by the winner of the tournament is called the “Tiriac-Nastase Trophy” and last year it was accompanied by prizes in cash worth EUR 450,000 in total.  Last year's winner was Spanish Albert Montanes. Previous winners include Goran Ivanisevic, in 1993, David Sanchez in 2003 and Gilles Simon in 2007 and 2008.
