Titus Muntean's Cinema Caravan selected for the Anonimul Independent Film Festival

Romanian film “Cinema Caravan” (Caravana cinematografica) by Titus Muntean is one of the seven feature length movies which have been selected for the Independent Movie Festival Anonimul. The festival will take place between August 9 and 15 at Sfantu Gheorghe, in the Danube Delta. The seven movies are competing for a prize of USD 3,000, which will be offered based on the votes coming from the festival's public.

Several other short movies will be competing in the festival. Out of the 350 short films which were submitted in the competition, 30 short fiction movies and 20 short animation movies were chosen. Eight fiction ones and two animation ones are Romanian-made. The prize for each of the two short film categories is of USD 1,000.

Titus Muntean's feature length movie is his second such film, after his debut film “Examen”. 'Caravana Cinematografica” was based on the book with the same name by Ioan Grosan. The main character of the film, tavi, is a party member who is sent to an isolated village in Transylvania, where his party task is to play Russia propaganda movies, although villagers lack the enthusiasm to watch them. This is the seventh edition of the Anonimul Internatiinal Film Festival.
