Top 10 travel destinations in Romania in 2015
Romanian capital Bucharest is the country’s top destination for 2015 in a recent Travelers’ Choice ranking, on tripadvisor.com, the world's leading travel site.
Among Bucharest’s top attractions, mentioned by tripadvisor.com, are the Village Museum, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Peasant Museum, and, of course, the Parliament's Palace, which is the second-largest building in the world after the Pentagon.
Second comes Oradea, a city in Western Romania, whose main attraction is the Baroque Palace.
Cluj-Napoca, which lays in the heart of Transylvania, comes third, followed by Brasov and Sinaia, two of Romania’s busiest touristic cities. Brasov is best known for its central square and for the Black Church, while Sinaia is Romania’s top mountain resort.
Medieval Sighisoara and former European Culture Capital Sibiu rank 6th and 7th, while Timisoara, Iasi and the Black Sea resort of Mamaia complete the top 10. The world’s top destinations in 2015 are Istanbul, Rome and London.
