Two foreigners caught red handed with EUR 3 mln worth of cocaine in Romanian port
A French and Lebanese man have been caught with 30 kilos of cocaine in the port of Constanta in Romania. The seized cocaine is worth some EUR 3 million.
The two, one of which was a resident in Romania, and the other, a French citizen of Kuwaiti origin, received the cocaine via the port of Constanta, and tried to send some of it abroad with the help of yet unidentified people.
The pair was arrested and the court is to decide whether they will be arrested before being trialed.
The biggest cocaine seizure in the Constanta port was of 1.2 tonnes, in January 2009, which was also the biggest seizure in Europe.
