Vodafone Romania's revenues drop but 41% of them go to profit
Telecom company Vodafone Romania posted EUR 425.7 million in revenues between April and September this year, down 12.4 percent on the same period last month. Its profit before taxes (EBITDA) was of EUR 177.1 million, covering around 41 percent of the revenues.
Vodafone grew its customer base to 9.8 million clients at the end of September, up 3.2 percent on the same month in 2009. The average revenues per user was of EUR 84, according to the company. Clients for pre-paid services made the bulk of Vodafone's customers, 63 percent, the rest being subscription payers.
Vodafone Romania has recently announced a CEO change. Iñaki Berroeta is the new CEO of telecom company Vodafone in Romania, replacing Liliana Solomon from the beginning of December this year, the company has announced. Inaki Berroeta joins Vodafone Romania from the helm of the subsidiary in Malta, where he has been GM for three years.
