Development and real estate consultancy, as well as ferrous and nonferrous metal processing are the main sectors that generate losses in Romania, while oil and gas extraction and trade are the most profitable ones, according to a study conducted by CIT Restructuring, cited by local Mediafax.

The top of sectors that generate losses is completed by the petroleum processing sector and hotels, a total of 3,809 companies being included in this category (23% of the total analyzed companies), with over 109,000 employees and total net losses of EUR 825 million in 2013.

On the other hand, the top of the most profitable sectors in 2013 include companies active in the oil and gas extraction area, trade, production and distribution of energy, automotive and plastic products manufacturing.
