Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc underscored the need for an overhaul of the Romanian state institutions, criticising politicians for 'staying captive to populist policies,' during a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of the World Bank.

The construction of the new terminal building of the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (the Otopeni airport) will be finalized in November and the terminal will be put in use in March 2011, along with Romania's accession to the Schengen Area. Investments in the airport's new terminal amount to EUR 60 million and construction works are executed by Italian company Astaldi.
