Sun Plaza shopping center in the Southern area of Bucharest will attempt to break a world record by installing the biggest Christmas light installation. Guinness World Records will be in Bucharest to sign up the attempt, which will try to break the existing record of 150,000 light bulbs in a single location.
The first mono brand Gucci store in Bucharest will be opened by mid December this year, despite initial rumors of a possible delay, according to CPP Luxury Industry Management Consultants. The Gucci store will be located on the ground floor of the five – star hotel Athenee Palace Hilton and will cover 280 sqm. The retail area in the hotel has recently underwent renovation.
The Millenium Cross monument in Charles de Gaulle Plaza in Bucharest will be moved to make room for the underground passage which will be build in the area. The passage will cost EUR 58 million for 1,400 meters of road.
Romanian band Vama has launched a song called Sarkozy versus Gypsy, inspired by the Rroma deportation saga which took place this summer, when hundreds of Roma people were sent back to Romania and Bulgaria from France.

The company already exceeded the entire sales volume for 2009, which stood at EUR 30.8 million and which was on a downwards trend compared to 2008. For the entire 2010, the company expects a EUR 37 million turnover.
