Miroslaw Smyk, the head of Romtelecom's TV division, has decided to leave the company as of July 1st. Smyk, who has been managing the TV division since 2007, has been in charge of Romtelecom's growth on the TV segment. Before becoming Gm of the TV division, he has been in charge of the IPTV project within Romtelecom.
Jairaj Amin, the managing director of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank’s European syndication department, is understood to be leaving to work with Romanian billionaire entrepreneur Dinu Patriciu, according to a recent article run by propertyweek.com. “Amin is thought to be leaving to work with Romania’s richest man, the entrepreneur Dinu Patriciu. It is not clear yet what Amin’s role will be,” according to the publication.
Former Economy minister Codrut Seres, member of the Conservative Party (PC) is the new president of media companies Antena 1 SA and Intact Production SA, according to Mediafax newswire. Seres is also a member of the board of Antena 3 SA. Seres has a four-year mandate at Antena 1 SA and joins other four members of the board: Sorin Oancea, George-Sorin Alexandrescu, Pompiliu-Sorin Stoian and Gabriel-Cristian Arsene.
Johann Lurf is the new president of Volksbank Romania, after having recently received the ok from the Romanian Central Bank (BNR). BNR has also given green light for Udo Birkner, who will be the bank's vice president.
Johann Lurf was named president of Volksbank in March this year, replacing Gerald Schreiner. Lurf used to head Volksbank's subsidiary in the Czech Republic. Schreiner had been at the helm of Volksbank Romania since 2006, after being the bank's VP for three years.
Constantin Tampiza, the local head of oil company Lukoil, had left the helm of the company and has been replaced by Maxim Khitrov, who became the new CEO of the local subsidiary.
