UniCredit Tiriac Bank and Unicef have launched a fidelity card which has a social component, allowing the holder to support Unicef's initiative to create mother-child rooms in Romanian maternity hospitals. UniCredit Tiriac Bank will donate 1 percent of the transactions made with the Unicef cards, along with half of the yearly card fees paid by the card holder.
The Agapedia Romania Foundation will organize a charitable event on December 3 at the Auditorium hall of the National Art Museum, starting 18,00 hours. The funds raised at this event will contribute to the construction and equipment of a new social-medical center.

The association raised money both from corporate sponsors and from individuals, which varied between EUR 50 and EUR 11,000.
Oil and gas company Rompetrol has invested over USD 300,000 in corporate social responsibility programs in Romania, mostly focusing on health care and environment protection in 2010, according to the company.
