UniCredit Tiriac Bank and Unicef have launched a fidelity card which has a social component, allowing the holder to support Unicef's initiative to create mother-child rooms in Romanian maternity hospitals. UniCredit Tiriac Bank will donate 1 percent of the transactions made with the Unicef cards, along with half of the yearly card fees paid by the card holder.

Romanian Andrei Rosu, who aims to run seven marathons on seven continents, will be representing Hospice Casa Sperantei Charity at the Pacific Coast Marathon in Chile, on December 5. This is Rosu's fourth marathon on the list, after the North Pole one, the Australian one and the one in Istanbul in October.

HR Specialists has received approval for two EU-funded projects worth a total of EUR 3 million which aim at creating facilities to help disabled people find jobs in Romania, Romania-Insider.com has learned. The first such project started in June and the second one in November and both should be active until 2013. For the first project, HR Specialists partners association Reninco, while for the second it partners NGO Apel.

Oil and gas company Rompetrol has invested over USD 300,000 in corporate social responsibility programs in Romania, mostly focusing on health care and environment protection in 2010, according to the company.
