Romanian newspaper Adevarul, part of the Adevarul media holding owned by businessman Dinu Patriciu, has opened an editorial office in Brussels. It was the first office opened by a Romanian publication in Brussels, following the model used by international media companies like BBC and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Romania’s Bartolomeu Anania, the Metropolitan of Cluj, has died Monday in intensive care in a hospital in Cluj, where he had been place because of severe cardiac and respiratory problems.

Romanian furniture producer and retailer Staer has started the insolvency procedures, according to Elva Cont, the judiciary administrator. Staer owns a furniture factory in Galati as well as a chain of 24 furniture stores across Romania.

The concert is part of a tour called Chocabeck World Tour 2011. Chocabeck is the name of his new album released in 2010 and contains 11 tracks written by the artist himself. Some of them have also benefited from the contribution of Bono, U2’s leading singer.

British IT company Endava plans to hire 200 more people in Romania this year and open new delivery centers in the country. The company will organize recruiting events in Bucharest, Iasi and Cluj – Napoca in the following months.

The reports concerning Bulgaria's Schengen Information System and the Supplementary Information Request at the National Entry (SIS/SIRENE) and land movement were not adopted, Schengen Department chief and Romanian Interior Ministry state secretary Marian Tutilescu told Mediafax.
