Star Storage, a company which specializes in data storage and information management, grew its turnover by 51 percent in the first half of the year, to EUR 7.8 million, compared to the first six months of last year. The company hopes to achieve an overall increase of 30 percent for the entire year, reaching EUR 18 million in turnover.

The unemployment level in Romania should stay at a stable rate towards the end of the year, said Romanian Labor Minister Mihai Seitan. “I don't expect an increase to a level higher than what it was in December lats year – 8.3 or 8.1. I can't give specific numbers, but anyway, it won't be higher than the level at the end of last year,” said Seitan.

The Government doesn't take into account, but is not ruling out either a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund, according to Romanian Finance Minister Sebastian Vladescu. The Romanian Government will analyze the need for a new agreement, hence a new round of financing from the IMF, at the end of this year, he also said.
