Winter sports lovers will have the opportunity to join the snowkite and speedfly competition which will take place in Sinaia mountain resort in Romania between February 21 and 27. The event, called Winter Air Sports 2011, will take place at Cota 2000 in Sinaia.

Romanian band Byron will launch its third album on Thursday, February 17, from 22,00 hours at the Silver Church club, where it will also go on stage, playing songs from the new album. The album will contain a total number of 16 track adaptations of popular Romanian songs performed in Byron's own manner.

The tenth annual edition of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) will be held this year between June 3 and 12, in Cluj-Napoca, northwestern Romania, according to the festival’s official website. As in the previous years, a selection of films in the festival will be screened later in Sibiu, central Romania, between June 15 and 19.
