The well known ice skating artists of the Saint Petersburg State Ballet from Russia will perform a new show in Romania after the success they had a while ago with the Swan Lake. This time, the figure skating ballet group will dance on Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The show will take place January 21 at Sala Palatului from 19,00 hours.

After a 2010 full of concerts, Bucharest will welcome some new names in its concert halls. Roxette and Bon Jovi gigs have already been confirmed for this year, while rumor has it U2 could inaugurate the new Lia Manoliu stadium in September. Check out some of the concerts planned for the first half of 2011 in the Romanian capital city.

A Christmas Fair has been opened at the Brancovenesc Palace (Palatul Brancovenesc) in Mogosoaia, close to Bucharest. The fair, called Targul Brancovenilor, features stands selling traditional products and gifts, food and beverages, as well as a park and playground, an ice rink and a Disney Palace – a good place to take your kids if you're spending a few days in Bucharest during the winter holidays.
