Citibank has installed an ATM which allows users to withdraw both RON and EUR. The ATM is located in the bank's branch in Baneasa Shopping City mall, north of capital city Bucharest.

Romanians who will take out loans within the “First Home” state backed lending program must guarantee their loan with their current account and can file currency swap requests, according to the explanatory note to a Government decision which amends the norms implementing the program.

The number of medical leaves granted last year in Romania dropped by 45 percent compared to 2009 following the introduction of a stricter system, the Health Ministry said in a press release Thursday.
